Guide: Welcome to the Sac County Endowment Foundation

The Sac County Endowment Foundation has established a goal of reaching as many Sac County citizens as possible to tell them about the opportunities that exist to “give back to their communities or county.”

We have developed this guide as a tool for you to use in your practice, to encourage donors to give back to their areas of interest, to continue to make a difference in their “life community” by providing for its future.

A large “transfer of wealth” is occurring across the nation today and in Sac County, it is no different. Business and community leaders are passing away and as they transfer their wealth to their families, many times this wealth leaves Sac County. We want to encourage people to invest here to make a difference.

Many people come to a point in their lives where they feel inclined to give back. For as many motivations as there are to give, there are ways of giving. The key to having a rewarding giving experience is finding the best fit—for charitable priorities, financial goals, and personal preferences.

We hope you find this guide helpful as you are approached by clients or customers who have an interest in providing for their communities. Through the generosity of premier philanthropists, many worthwhile projects have been accomplished. Many more projects are on the “drawing board” and these can only be accomplished if this type of giving continues.

As a strategic grantmaker, the Sac County Endowment Foundation provides leadership and critical funding to address community issues, gaps, needs and opportunities. During the past eight years, we have granted over $559,505 to worthwhile projects across Sac County.

Please take a few minutes to scan this guide to familiarize yourself with all of Sac County’s opportunities. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us today!
