All Lake View Listings

Black Hawk Lake
L, IA 51450

Lake View is anchored by the 957-acre Black Hawk Lake and the Iowa State Park of the same name. The lake features playgrounds, trails, and summer activities like camping, boating, fishing, and swimming, while winter options include skating, snowmobiling, and ice fishing. The Stone Piers along the lake are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The piers mark the site of the summer concert series, bringing in musical acts throughout each summer.

Lake View Historical Museum
114 Crescent Park Drive · L, IA 51450

Built in 1996, the Lake View Historical Museum offers a glimpse of the town's history. Grounds include a log cabin dating to approximately 1870 and a one-eight scale of a one-room school house. The museum also features a unique collection of 130 species of birds which have been stuffed and mounted. The museum is open Saturdays from Memorial Day to Labor Day from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
