Whether enjoying live performances at the Stone Pier Concert Series, admiring beautifully crafted public art, visiting one of the county’s eight public libraries, photographing nature or writing your own story, opportunities abound in Sac County.

Local residents’ rich tradition of honoring military personnel is evidenced by monuments honoring those who have served in every war since the Civil War. Veterans’ memorials and the Sac County Freedom rock pay homage to many current and former residents.  Fine examples of landscape architecture created by CCC and WPA workers, as well as more recent sculptures add interest to many towns.

Those who love quilting will want to spend some time on the county-wide barn quilt tour that features many classic quilt patterns painted on farm buildings.
